Decaffeinate Any Tea
A short article from the Hamilton Spectator (Feb. 17/05) by Dan
Kislenko
There are, of course, decaffeinated teas on the market. But there's a long
tradition of giving tea a "bath":
pour some boiling water over the bag and let it stand for 20 seconds, then discard the liquid
and proceed tomake the tea you will drink. That strips away the strongest caffeine.
Take note, as well, that loose-leaf tea has less caffeine than what's in tea
bags, and green tea even less than that.
